The “next big thing” in home theater experiences comes in a “surprisingly small” package, according to ViewSonic. Its new projector has an “ultra-compact” form-factor, yet is rated to throw bright, color-accurate images of 100 inches from just under 3 meters away. The M10 also upgrades to integrated speakers enhanced with Harman Kardon tuning.
ViewSonic’s latest portable projector is backed to be as “agile” and versatile as such a device can get, thanks to the time-of-flight (ToF) and keystone-correction sensors needed to power the “instant auto focus” necessary to get it going wherever it finds itself.
Then again, the M10 is also touted as a true home theater-worthy accessory with RGB lasers rated to cover 100% of the “cinema-grade” BT.2020 color gamut. It also has a throw range of 1.06 meters (m) to 4.78m (for a 100-inch image from 2.66m away) – however, its native resolution is 1080p.
Then again, ViewSonic asserts that it is capable of delivering an almost TV-like experience with an inbuilt Harman Kardon-branded 7W speaker and a max brightness of 2,200 lumens.
The M10 is also equipped with Bluetooth, HDMI 2.0 and USB type-C. The OEM has yet to reveal how much its latest portable projector costs, however. In the meantime, the X1 is still available (and still at a discount) today (November 29, 2023) on Amazon.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
